In spoken Hebrew the Israeli often uses auxiliary constructions with the verb hofech – to turn into or with the nif’al of the verb to make – ne’esah, i.e. is made or was made.
She has become strange in the last time. | .היא נעשתה משונה בזמן האחרון |
hi ne’estah meshunah be-zman ha-acharon. | |
He will become director next week. | .הוא הופך להיות מנהל בשבוע הבא |
hu hofech liheyot menahel be-shav uaha-ba . |
